Dear Mr. Sheen,
My name is Matthew Winick
and I enjoy watching you act in movies and also my favorite T.V. Show The
West Wing. My favorite movies that you played in are Wall Street, The
Departed, Catch Me If You Can, The American President, and Bobby. Besides
watching you play in movies I really like when you narrated Eyewitness series
and JFK. Your narrations really help motivate me to get interested to learn
more about science and history. Mr. Sheen, history is my favorite subject
because I am interested to learn how the world works, learn from mistakes,
learning the strong need for Civil Rights to end discrimination for people who
are different, and understand how government can help benefit society with
programs or job training programs. Through out my student life from middle
school through college I enjoy taking world history, American History, and
other history classes. The West Wing really helped me get interested in
Presidential history because of how you portrayed as President Jed Bartlet with
some great achievements. I really enjoy watching The West Wing because I enjoy
your acting, understand how a presidential administration works, and how to
deal with Congress. As a fan of the West Wing I enjoy learning about different
characters personality with their political stance and watching all episodes of
season 7. This show got me really
interested to study about different U.S. President’s work, finding if they had
achievements, and visit Presidential libraries to learn more about their
background. Also the show helped me
understand that government can help benefit society. As an American with a mix
race including a learning disability with Autism I am proud to have been
benefit well from different President like President Obama through the Stimulus
package which helped put me in a job training program, The ACA under Obama
helped me with health care, President Truman, Eisenhower, Kennedy, LBJ, Nixon,
Ford, Bush sr., Clinton, and Obama have improve Civil Rights with continuing to
work on helping protect minorities, gender, people with disabilities, and
people with different preferences from being discriminated, and The American
With Disabilities Act helped benefit me to get accommodations in education with
having programs to help my disability with improving my comprehension under
President George H.W. Bush.
Mr. Sheen thank you for
taking the time to read my letter, helping me get inspired to learn history,
and making The West Wing a great show with great acting and helping me
understand more about presidency. Mr. Sheen, you have helped make a difference
in my life by getting me motivated to learn more about President’s history and give
me confidence by learn how the government can help benefit people like me
through legislation. I wish you well for you for the future, acting, and
continuing your activism to help people who are different from discrimination
with helping people understand the benefit of government with the need for
reform.
Sincerely,
Matthew B. Winick
