Dear Mr. Connors,
My name is Matt Winick and
I’m a fan of watching police/ crime drama shows. The main reason I’m a fan of these shows is
because I like seeing how law enforcement works on solving different cases, how
lawyers handle court cases, how forensic scientist evaluate evidence, and how
the main character of the crime drama show use their different traits to solve
a cases. My favorite tv show that you
played in was Mannix. Mannix
was a great show because I enjoyed the plot of the show about a private
investigator named Joe Mannix who solves different cases. I enjoyed watching all the seasons and every
episode. Another thing that I enjoyed
about the show was on how you did a great job working with Gail Fisher who
played as Peggy Fair who is a secretary for Detective Mannix on making them
have a good working relationship where they help one another on different
cases. Mr. Connors, I thought you did an
excellent job portraying private detective Joe Mannix because I liked on how
you made him have great traits like exploring different theories to understand
the motive for murder or how the crime was committed, being committed to find
the truth including protecting the innocent or find evidence to prove a
person’s innocence when they are accused of a crime, how made him have a sense
of humor and how you were able to have a mix of balance between action while
being a ladies man. My favorite episodes
of the show were Pressure Point, Fear I to Fall, and a Step in Time. Mannix was
also a great show because I liked on how it focus on different topics like what
it is like racism against minorities to show the need to treat minorities fairly
without discrimination, how people with disabilities can help solve cases when
they have some limitations, and exploring the effects of the Vietnam War.
Mr. Connors, I have Autism
with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me because I have
trouble comprehending on learning different subjects, sometimes I struggle to
communicate my thoughts, and get teased. Your
role as private detective Joe Mannix and the show giving people with
disabilities a chance to help your character solve different cases really
inspire me to work hard on autism. Showing people with disabilities having
different abilities really helped me feel confident about how I can have some
traits like understanding people’s work, interest in history, and be observant
on different things. The Mannix show
and your acting in the show got me really interested in watching more crime
drama shows like Renegade, NYPD Blue, Law
And Order franchise, CSI Miami, Chicago P.D., Perry Mason, Matlock, and
Diagnosis Murder. Also you inspired
me to be interested in playing a videogame called L.A. Noire where you play a
police officer where he becomes a detective solving different cases and
reviewing evidence.
I strongly believe that you
and Gail Fisher did an excellent job making Mannix a great tv show to watch and
having a great working friendship on different cases. Mr. Connor, you did an excellent job making
Joe Mannix a great private detective
with great traits. I’m proud to be a fan
of your work and the show. Also I
continue to watch re-runs of the show on Heroes and Icons channel because I
enjoy your detective style. Also here is a picture of me as a gift to you
for inspiring me and $5 as a gift to treat yourself for doing a great job on
making Mannix a great one. Thanks for
taking the time to read my letter, making Mannix a great tv show, and inspiring
me. I wish you well for the future.
Sincerely,
Matt Winick
