President Gutmann, I have Autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased. Your commitment to be a strong advocate for Civil Rights, be a strong supporter of making diversity a better place, and be an advocate for people with disabilities’ rights really inspires me to work hard on my disability.  In summer 2013, I enjoyed visiting the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia Pennsylvania because I enjoyed learning about the founding fathers, history of the U.S. Constitution, different amendments in the constitution, and many others. Also the museum did a great job helping me with my disability because the educational interactive technology did an excellent job interpreting the U.S. Constitution, when watching clips or listening to audio it had close captions to help me understand about the topic, and many others.  Your role as President of U of Penn and as an advocate for making society a better place motivates me to continue my interest in learning history with public policy.  My future goal is to someday work in public policy to help shape up common sense ideas to make society better and to continue my interest in learning history by visiting historical sites along with museums.  Another thing is your commitment to advocate for ethics reform with campaign finance reform motivates me to understand the need for these things to help reduce corruption in government along with elections.

Dear Mr. Perkins,

My name is Matthew Winick from Ann Arbor, Michigan with a strong interest in studying history and public policy. These subjects are my favorite because I like learning the need to advance on Civil Rights to help protect people who are different from being discriminated, protect the environment from pollution, find ways to make government work for the people, and improve health care to help people get the care they need. Mr. Perkins, the main reason I’m writing you a letter is I find your work as Assistant Secretary for the Department of Health, Education, and your activism to be very inspiring to me.

When Dwight D. Eisenhower became President of the United States, I liked on you accept to be nominated and confirmed to be Assistant Secretary for the Department of Health, Education, and Welfare to help President Eisenhower including his administration work hard to help America. In your role I liked on how you worked with President Eisenhower and the head of Department of Health, Education, Welfare to expand social security to help people who are low-income get assistance on healthcare including seniors and also advocated for the need for healthcare reform to help people who can’t afford health insurance get the care they need.   Another thing, that I liked was on how you gave advice to President Eisenhower about the need to improve hospitals including health care facilities to help patients with chronically ill, patients who are recovering from surgery, and rehabilitation to help people with disabilities.   When you left your role in the President Eisenhower’s administration, I was very proud on how you continue advocating for the need to make healthcare stronger to help people with pre-existing conditions get the assistance they need and the need for moderates instead of people with extreme views to move the country forward. Currently, I am very proud of your commitment to be a strong supporter of President Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial Commission and continuing helping make history a better place.

In September 2015, I visited The Dwight D. Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum in Abilene, Kansas. I enjoyed visiting it because I had a great time learning about President Eisenhower’s early life, his military career, his achievements as U.S. President, and post presidency. My favorite achievements of President Eisenhower was expanding Social Security to help the poor get health care, support Civil Rights including appointing African Americans to work in government services to combat against discrimination, and implement the Federal Highway System Act to create highways with fixing roads to help improve public safety and transportation.  In the museum I enjoyed learning some about some of people who served in his administration and I enjoyed learning about your work.  Your commitment to help President Eisenhower got me really motivated to continue studying history, learning about how people can make a great difference, and learning more about President Eisenhower’s work.

Mr. Perkins, I strongly believe that you made a great difference in President Eisenhower’s administration and history to make society better.  You have made a great impact on me to continue my interest in studying history, learning the importance of the need to learn on how ideas can shape society, and others.  Here is a copy of my essay that I wrote about President Eisenhower for my American History class at Washtenaw Community College in Ann Arbor, Michigan and pictures of me as a gift to you for inspiring me and working hard to make a great difference.

Mr. Scott Bakula
NCIS: New Orleans- Season 3
c/o Robert E Nims Center Studios
Suite 201

New Orleans, LA  70123

Dear Mr. Bakula,

My name is Matt Winick and I am a fan of your acting in two t.v. shows which are Quantum Leap and NCIS: New Orleans.   I enjoyed watching Quantum Leap because I liked the plot Dr. Sam Beckett who leaps in different time travel to correct mistakes in history where he is allied by Admiral Al Calavicci to help him get to his present time.  I thought you did an excellent job playing Dr. Sam Beckett because I liked on how you made Dr. Sam Beckett be committed to help his friend Al and working to find ways to make history right when there are challenges. I really enjoyed watching season1-5 of the show because I liked on how your character explored different characters in the historical eras.   After Quantum Leap ended, I got excited when you decided to play in NCIS: New Orleans. In NCIS: New Orleans,  I think you really do such a great job playing NCIS Senior Special Agent Dwayne Cassius Pride because I like  on how you expand his traits like examining different evidence to understand a case, have the commitment to work with the rest of the team when they have differences or have different theories related to a case,  and many others.  Another thing that I liked about your character is how NCIS Senior Special Agent Dwayne Cassius Pride is close friends with NCIS Jethro Gibbs where they work together on cases.  I really like watching season 1-2 and I’m also really excited to see season 3 of it.

Your character Dr. Sam Beckett, the tv show Quantum Leap, and watching the episodes of Quantum Leap got me really inspired to continue my interest in learning history and calling history to be one of my favorite subjects.  In history, I like to learn the need to advance on Civil Rights, protect the environment, learn not to repeat the same mistakes in the past, and many others. Also what I like to learn about history is to study famous people’s life including their work to learn how their ideas, work, and overcome different challenges to make an impact.  Mr. Bakula, I have Autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased. History is a great subject for me because it helps me learn that when there are challenges there can be ways to make a difference.  Your role in Quantum Leap on working hard to overcome different challenges and NCIS: New Orleans where your character works hard to make team work together when there are challenges motivates me to learn the need for friendship, continue to work hard when there are challenges, and understand the need for teamwork.

I strongly believe that you made Quantum Leap a great show including your character. Also I am very proud on how you are continue acting and working hard to make NCIS: New Orleans a great tv show. You have inspired me to work hard on my disability, continue my interest in history, be a fan of you, and be proud to call NCIS: New Orleans one of my favorite tv show. Here is a picture of me as a gift to you to keep for inspiring me. Thanks for taking the time to read my letter, making tv shows including your character, and inspiring me. I wish you well to continue to film season 3 of NCIS: New Orleans.

Sincerely,

Matt Winick
