Dear Mr. Keaton,
My name is Matt Winick from Ann Arbor,
Michigan with a strong interest in watching cartoon shows, studying history,
and I enjoy cartoons where you voice as different characters. The main reasons I like to watch cartons
because I like seeing how different characters in a cartoon can have an
interesting personality with a sense of humor, seeing more character’s come alive
where they can have more expression or have a role, and many others. Mr.
Keaton, I consider you one of my favorite cartoon voice actor because you do
such a great job making superheroes character in cartoons have a great balance
between action, learning more about how to use their abilities, and have a
sense of humor. My favorite cartoons
that you worked on were Spectacular
Spiderman and The Green Lantern: The
Animated Series. In Spectacular
Spiderman, I enjoyed watching season 1-2 because I enjoyed the episodes about
how Peter Parker works hard understanding his powers, find a balance between
being a superhero and a regular person, and how Peter Parker shows his humor
side or his caring personality. Also in
that show I thought you really did an excellent job portraying including
voicing Peter Parker/Spiderman because I liked on how you made Peter Parker
have an interesting character where he learns his abilities, learn lessons on
how to improve himself, and many others. After the show got cancelled, I liked on how
you made a comeback to voice as Hal Jordan in Green Lantern: The Animated
Series. In 2012, I started to watch the show on Cartoon Network and I enjoyed
watching the first episode. I enjoyed watching the first episode because I
liked learning about Hal Jordan’s origin becoming Green Lantern and learning
about how different main characters like Kilowog, Razer, and Aya are going to
assist Hal Jordan on saving the galaxy. The main reason I liked Green Lantern: The
Animated Series is because I liked on how Hal Jordan used his super abilities
to do good things, how he has compassion for people to make things right when
they cause problems for example like Hal Jordan lets Razer, his former enemy help
him save the galaxy, learns how to have good teamwork with Razer, Aya, and
Kilowog. Mr. Keaton, you were great
voicing and portraying Hal Jordan because I liked on how you made him have
great characteristics like caring for his teammates, learning more about using
his Green Lantern ring, and having compassion while working hard to do the
right thing.
Even though both of the cartoon series
got cancelled, I was very proud of you for working hard being a voice actor and
continue working on different projects. I have Autism with a learning
disability and having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble with
comprehension when learning different things and I get teased by other people
about having a disability. Mr. Keaton, your work on being a voice actor in
superhero cartoons and making superheroes have good traits really inspires me
to work hard on Autism with a learning disability, learn about how superheroes
can learn from their struggles, and for some superheroes to have compassion or
work as a team. Also your work on
superheroes really gets me even more interested in learning about superheroes’
origins including watching more cartoons and try to read comic books. Also I was wondering if you could please share
some advice about how to become a voice actor for cartoon and videogames
because I have an interest in becoming a voice actor for a cartoon and videogames. I have card wishing you a Happy birthday for
February 8th including my drawing of the Green Lantern logo and a
picture of me as a gift to you for inspiring me.
Mr, Keaton, I strongly believe that you
made a great difference as a voice actor for cartoons including superheroes cartoons.
You do such a great job making cartoon character come alive and makes the
character have a story. You have made an impact on me to continue working hard
on autism and to be interested in superheroes. I wish you well for the future
and to continue your role as a voice actor. My dream is someday to voice in
cartoons or in videogames. Thanks for taking the time to read my letter,
working hard to make cartoons fun to watch, and inspiring me. Have a great birthday for February 8th and a Happy New
Year.
Sincerely,
Matt Winick
