Dear
Mayor Gerlach,
My
name is Matt Winick from Ann Arbor,
Michigan with a strong interest in learning history, social justice, and public
policy. In these subjects, I like to learn the need to make Civil Rights
stronger to reduce discrimination, protect the environment from pollution, and
many others. Mayor Gerlach, the main
reason I’m writing you a letter is to explain how I find your work as moderate Republican
Mayor of Overland Park, Kansas be very inspiring to me.
In
your current role as Mayor of Overland
Park, Kansas, I like on how you are a strong supporter of Civil Rights by
advocating for people with disabilities’ rights, supporting funds to help women including
minorities communities compete in the economy, and pushing for laws to combat
against hate-crime to help protect minorities including people who are
different. On the environment, I like on how you supported funds to help expand
renewable energy projects to help reduce addiction to oil with gas, worked with
city services to improve trash and
recycling services to help reduce trash litter in the neighborhoods, and
provided funds to help clean up parks including water resources to make them
safe for people to use. Funding special
education to help students with disabilities get educational resources to help
them learn, expanding after school programs to provide tutors to help youth on their
assignments, and pushing for funds for programs related to arts including
diversity to help make education diverse to learn is common sense to improve
education reform. I like your approach on improving the economy by expand on
job-training programs to help youth including workers develop work-skills to
help prepare them for the workforce and provide tax-credits for small
businesses to help them be part of the community including help them hire
people to work for their businesses. Another thing that I like about your work as
Mayor of Overland Park, Kansas is how you are working on a plan to improve
playgrounds to help accommodate youth with disabilities to play on them with
the rest of the children, supporting the need to help restore with preserve
historical sites including museums to help make education a better place to
learn while improve tourism, and pushing to expand programs to help victims of
crime or victims of domestic violence get help from law enforcement resources.
Mayor
Gerlach, I have autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard
for because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advance subjects,
sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased. Your commitment to be a strong supporter of
Civil Rights including people with disabilities’ rights really inspires me to
work hard on my disability. Also your current role as Mayor of Overland Park,
Kansas motivates me to continue to learn history and many other subjects. My future goal is to someday work in history
to help emphasize the need to make Civil Rights stronger to reduce
discrimination, have environmental protection, and many others.
I
strongly believe that you are making a great difference in your current role as
Mayor of Overland Park, Kansas. I’m very proud on how you are working hard to
improve Civil Rights, protect the
environment, and many others. You have
inspired me to work hard on my disability and to continue to learn history
including other subjects. Thanks for taking the time to read my letter, working
hard to improve society, and inspiring me. I wish well on continue to push for
common
sense ideas.
Here
is a picture of me as a gift to you for inspiring me.
Sincerely,
Matt
Winick
