Dear Mayor Hicks-Hudson,

My name is Matt Winick from Ann Arbor, Michigan with a strong interest in learning history with public policy.  In these subjects, I like to learn the need for Civil Rights to be strong to reduce discrimination, protect the environment from pollution, improve public safety, and many others. Mayor Hicks-Hudson, the main reason I’m writing you a letter is to explain how I find your work as current Mayor of Toledo, Ohio to be very inspiring to me and share about how I enjoy my past visits to Toledo.

In your current role as Mayor of Toledo, Ohio, I like on how you are a strong supporter of protecting women, minorities, and people with disabilities from being discriminated in education and public places. Also on Civil Rights, I’m very proud on how you advocate for people with disabilities’ rights, support funds to help women including minorities businesses to help them compete in the economy,  work with minorities communities to find ways to reduce racial profiling,  push for laws  combat against people who commit hate-crime, and support the need for women to have equal pay.   Your approach on improving the economy like expanding job-training programs to help train youth including workers to develop job-skills to help be prepare them for the economy, encouraging businesses to hire people with disabilities, women, and minorities, working with University of Toledo to expand funds for research in different areas is common sense.  On public safety, I liked on how you are currently working on finding ways to fix potholes on street to make them safe for people to use transportation, implement training program to help train rescue responders, fire fighters, and law enforcement to be efficient on their job, and push  for community policing to help restore trust between communities with law enforcement.  Pushing for renewable energy sources to reduce oil with gas, expanding funds to clean parks with water resources to make them safe for people to use, and working with different industries along with states or cities around Lake Erie to keep it clean from pollution are great ways to protect the environment while reduce pollution.  Another thing that I like about your role as Mayor is how you work with other attractions in Toledo including museums to find ways to improve tourism while make a learning environment a better place.

Mayor Hicks-Hudson, I have Autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased.  Your commitment to be a strong supporter of Civil Rights and your advocacy for people with disabilities’ rights really inspires me to work hard on my disability.  In a few times I have visited Toledo, Ohio where I visited the Toledo Zoo and the Toledo Museum of Art. I enjoyed visiting these sites because it helped me understand more facts about animals along with the need to protect wildlife and learn about different artist’s perception on their artwork.  Also your task as Mayor of Toledo motivates me to continue my interest in learning history with public policy. My future goal is to some visit Toledo so I can see some more sites, to continue to learn history, and many others.  My letter is a gift to you for inspiring me and for Black History Month to help recognize African American individuals who work hard to make a great difference for society.

I believe that you are making a great difference in your current role as mayor. I’m proud on how you work hard to make Toledo, Ohio a better place.  You have inspired me to work hard on my disability, continue my interest in learning history, and visit Toledo.   Thanks for taking the time to read my letter, working hard to make society a better place, and inspiring me. I wish you well to continue your current role as Mayor of Toledo  and to continue to make a great impact on society.

Dear Ms. Hedren,

My name is Matt Winick and I’m a fan of your acting. My favorite Alfred Hitchcock movie that you played in was Marnie. Marnie  was a  great movie because I enjoyed the plot of  it about a young woman named Marnie who steals money from a company where she meets Mark, a wealthy widower where they develop a bond, and has to learn her past including end her bad deeds.  Ms. Hedren, I thought you did an excellent job portraying Marnie because I liked on how you made her have a different traits like working hard to overcome her fear of red including her bad deeds of stealing money and trying to have a stable relationship between Mark.  I thought you and Mr. Sean Connery did a great job making Marnie a great movie.  Another favorite movie that you played in that I liked was Tiger by the Tail. In Tiger by the Tail I enjoyed the story about Steve, a Vietnam War hero who is accused of murder and recruits Rita, a socialite girlfriend to catch a killer.

Besides your acting career, I really like on how you created the Roar Foundation to help protect lions including tigers from being hunted by poachers and are an activist to help protect the environment including wildlife from being polluted.  Also I really like on you set up relief programs across the world to help people who are victims of disasters, famine, and the effects of war.  Another thing is I strongly appreciate on how you are an advocate for Civil Rights including people with disabilities’ rights. Ms. Hedren, I have autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me because  I have trouble comprehending on learning different subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts or understand speech, and get teased. Watching tv and movies, some Alfred Hitchcock movies when I was young and currently has helped me on practicing speech, understand vocabulary, and understand how people talk.   Your advocacy for Civil Rights including people with disabilities’ rights really inspires me to work hard on my disability. Also your continuous support for protecting the environment including the wildlife from pollution gives me motivation to learn the importance of the need for environmental protection to make world a safe place.

I strongly believe that you are a very talented actress. You really did an excellent job making movies including your characters that you played have some different traits.  Your continuous activism really makes a great contribution to society including the world.  You have inspired me to work hard on my disability, learn the importance of the need to protect the environment, and continue to watch movies including tv shows to help improve on my speech along with comprehension. Thanks for taking the time to read my letter, doing an excellent job acting along with making a great contribution to society, and inspiring me.   I wish you well for the future and to make a great impact on society.

Dear Ms. Lahti,

My name is Matt Winick and I’m a fan of your acting.  My favorite tv show that you played in was Chicago Hope. Chicago Hope was a great tv show because I enjoyed the plot of the show about doctors, nurses, and hospital administration on dealing with medical cases.  Another thing that I liked about Chicago Hope is how they showed what it was like dealing with ethics on different medical issues and how different characters have unique traits.  Ms. Lahti, you did an excellent job playing as Dr. Kate Austin in the show because I liked on how you made her have unique traits like learning from past mistakes to improve herself on dealing with solving or helping patients with medical issues and working to resolver her conflicts with other hospital staff members when there is a disagreement about handling a medical case.   Another show that I liked  was when you guest star in Law And Order SVU where you played ADA Sonya Paxton during season 11 and 12. In Law And Order SVU, you did a great job portraying as ADA Sonya Paxton because I liked on how you made her have  interesting traits like working to resolve conflicts between the SVU squad when they disagree on how to handle a criminal case,  presenting evidence along with examining it in the court, and working to hard to combat against her alcohol abuse.  An American Daughter  was a great Lifetime tv movie because I enjoyed the story about Dr. Lyssa Dent Hughes, a daughter of U.S. Senator Alan Hughes who is nominated to serve as U.S. Surgeon General and is struggling due to her background check on neglecting jury duty and many others.  You did an excellent job making Dr. Lyssa Dent Hughes a great character in the tv movie because I liked on how you made her have great traits like wanting to help make a difference for people who need health care and working hard to overcome her struggle as a woman in politics due to the media and tough politics attacking her ideas including her character. On the Charlie Rose  show “An American Daughter” episode I enjoyed watching interview about you playing in the movie including explain about the struggles of women in politics along with the entertainment businesses.

Ms. Lahti, I have autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me because I have struggles like have trouble comprehending on learning different subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased. Another thing that I struggle with autism is when I struggle to have friendships including lose friends due to being different. Your acting in Chicago Hope and in An American Daughter really inspires me to work hard on my disability, learn the need to work hard when there are struggles, continue to do good work when other people don’t see it.  Your role in An American Daughter got me really interested in learning about public policy and studying public officials who are strong supporters of Civil Rights including people with disabilities’ rights  protect the environment from pollution, improve social justice, and many others.  

You did an excellent job making Chicago Hope a great tv show and making your character Dr. Kate Austin have great traits.  Also you did a really great job in Law and Order SVU.  You have inspired me to be a fan of your acting and to continue to watch re-runs of Chicago Hope.  Also you did a great job making An American Daughter a great movie. Dear Mayor Warren,

My name is Matt Winick from Ann Arbor, Michigan with a strong interest in learning history including public policy. In these subjects, I like to learn the need to make Civil Rights stronger to reduce discrimination, protect the environment from pollution, and many others. Another thing that I like to learn is how different U.S. Mayors in different cities work hard to push for common sense ideas or how they inspire me. Mayor Warren, the main reason I’m writing you a letter is to explain how I find your work as 69th Mayor of Rochester, New York to be very inspiring to me.

In January 2014, I was amazed on how you made history by becoming the first woman to become Mayor or Rochester, New York.   On Civil Rights, I like on how you are an advocate for people with disabilities’ rights, push for funds to help women including minorities businesses to help them compete in the economy, and expand on laws to combat against hate crime to help protect people who are different including minorities.   Implementing job-training programs to help train youth including workers to develop work-skills to help them prepare them for the economy, creating Young Adults Manufacturing Program to help teach people about manufacturing skills, and encouraging businesses to hire women, minorities, and people with disabilities to work for them are great ways to improve the economy.    Your approach to improve education like funding special education to help students with disabilities get educational accommodations to assist them on learning, expanding after-school programs to help youth get help on their assignments, working with community organizations to create volunteering programs or recreational programs to help them get engage in helping the community or keep them off from the streets, and pushing for more arts including diversity educational awareness to help teach people about diversity is common sense.  On criminal justice reform, I like on how you are working with minorities communities to find ways to reduce racial profiling to protect minorities from being oppressed, pushing for body cameras on police officers to reduce them from abusing their power, and team up with the law enforcement resources to provide treatment programs to help victims of domestic violence or victims of crime to help them get assistance.  On the environment, I liked on how you are a continuous supporter of funding renewable energy sources to help reduce addiction to oil with gas,  encouraging businesses including small businesses to use energy efficient products to help reduce high energy cost while reduce pollution, and working to improve city services to clean up parks including water resources to make them safe for people to use.  Another thing that I like about your work as Mayor of Rochester, New York is how you are working with the City of Rochester including Trillium Health to spread educational awareness about how to prevent HIV or AIDS, expanding medical research to help combat against medical diseases like Parkinson diseases, and implementing educational awareness programs in schools to emphasize he need to reduce gun violence including combat against bullying.    

Mayor Warren, I have autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased. Your commitment to be a strong supporter on Civil Rights including people with disabilities’ rights really inspires me to work hard on my disability.  On Youtube I enjoyed watching “Rochester: A beacon of hope Lovely Warren TEDx  Talks” because I had fun learning about your life before you got into public office, explaining about how Rochester, NY had played history in being a supporter of Civil Rights, and giving motivation to people about the need to emphasize the need to make Civil Rights stronger.  Also your work as current Mayor  of Rochester, New York motivates me to continue my strong interest in learning history with public policy.  My future goal is to someday work in history or in public policy to help emphasize the need to make Civil Rights stronger, protect the environment from pollution, improve social justice, and many others.

I strongly believe that you are making a great difference in your role as mayor. I’m very proud on how you made history by becoming the first woman to become Mayor of Rochester, New York and how you are working hard to improve society. You have inspired me to work hard on my disability, watch your talk in TEDxTalks on youtube, and to continue to learn history.  I was wondering if you could please share some of your goals as mayor and to give me advice about working hard on my disability.
