Dear
Ms. Day,
My
name is Matt Winick and I’m a fan of your acting and singing. My favorite
movies that you played in were Young at Heart, Teacher’s Pet, and The Thrill of It All. Teacher’s Pet is a great movie because I
enjoyed the plot of it about Erica Stone, a journalism instructor who asks a
journalist names James Gannon to talk at her school which he refuses, then he
gets humiliated which results him in pretending to be a student as Jim
Gallagher, and he falls in love with the professor. In the movie, I thought you did an excellent
job portraying as Professor Erica Stone because I liked on how you made her be
like a journalism instructor, having a sense of humor, and many others. Also in
Teacher’s Pet I thought you and Mr. Clark Gable did an excellent job making
this movie a great romantic comedy. My
favorite scene in that movie was where James Cannon (Jim Gallagher) in the
classroom where he challenges professor Stone on some literature. Also my favorite songs that you sang were
It’s Magic, Everywhere You Go, Bewitched, Bothered, and Bewildered, and My
Darling My Darling. In your singing
career I thought you did an excellent job working with Frank Sinatra, Buddy
Clark, and many other singers.
Ms.
Day, I have autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for
me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advance subjects,
sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased. Sometimes when I struggle with a disability I
have trouble speaking, understand some vocabulary, and many others. Watching
movies including movies that you played in and seeing different tv shows helped
assist me on improving on vocabulary and some speech. Your
continuous support for people with disabilities’ rights really inspires me to
work hard on my disability. Besides your acting career, I truly appreciate
on how you are an animal rights activist and created the Doris Day Animal
Foundation to help protect animals from being abused and provide money for
animal health care to help animals get medical treatment they need. In 2004, Congrats on winning the Presidential
Medal of Freedom award for you commitment to make a great difference for
society through your activism. Your
activism on animal rights motivates me to learn the importance of protecting
animals including domestic animals from being abused, the need for animals to
have a safe environment from danger, and have medical care for animals to help
them from getting diseases.
I
strongly believe that you made a great difference in the film industry and that
you are a very talented actress. Also
you did a really great job singing because you made the lyrics flow well with
the music. You have inspired me to work
hard on my disability, watch the movies that you starred in, and understand the
importance of animal rights. I’m providing you a picture of me as a gift to
you, my hand drawing of a dog with a cat for you to keep, and $10 donation for
the Doris Day Animal Foundation to help improve animal rights. I hope that my
donation can help you for improve
society. Thanks for taking the time to
read my letter, doing an excellent job acting including your activism, and
inspiring me. Best wishes for to you
continue to live a great life and make a great impact on society.
Sincerely,
Matt
Winick
