  1/04/2019
Attorney General Herbert Slatery III
c/o Office of the Tennessee Attorney General
P.O. Box 20207
Nashville, TN  37202-3491

Dear Attorney General Slatery III,

My name is Matt Winick from Ann Arbor, Michigan and I have strong interest in learning history including social justice. In these subjects I like to learn the need to make Civil Rights stronger to reduce discrimination, protect the environment from pollution, have criminal justice reform to help protect people’s rights while reduce crime, and many others.  Attorney General Slatery III, the main reason I’m writing you a letter is to explain how I find your work as 27th Attorney General of Tennessee and as a moderate Republican to be very inspiring to me.

In your current role as 27th  Attorney General of Tennessee, I truly appreciate on how you are a strong supporter of Civil Rights by advocating for people with disabilities’ rights and prosecuting people who commit hate-crime to help protect minorities including people who are different.   Supporting drug-treatment programs to help drug-users get the care they need to reduce drug-abuse, working with law enforcement including the office of the Tennessee Attorney General to expand resources to help victims of domestic violence or victims of crime get help on dealing with their trauma, and expressing the need for more funds in DNA testing including forensic science to help reduce sending an innocent person to jail while solve evidence efficiently is common sense for criminal justice reform. Another thing that I like about your work as Attorney General of Tennessee is how you went after industries  that illegally polluted the environment or violated environmental protection laws to help protect public health while reduce pollution,  prosecute public officials that accept illegal bribes or are corrupt to reduce corruption in government, and push for educational awareness programs to help educate youth including people about the need to reduce drug-abuse including gun violence.  Also I liked on how you had the courage to withdraw from joining other Republican Attorney Generals on a proposed lawsuit against the federal government on the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals Policy which helps protect DACA children from being deported, advocate for the need for immigration reform to help protect immigrants including refuges along with DACA children from being oppressed, and support the need to investigate detention centers that abuse or poorly treat Dreamers or immigrants. Also I like on how you are a moderate Republican on supporting Civil Rights, pushing for criminal justice reform, advocate for the need for immigration reform, and better protection on environment.

Attorney General Slatery III, I have autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advance subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased.  Your commitment to be a strong supporter of Civil Rights including people with disabilities’ rights really inspires me to work hard on my disability. Also your role as 27th Attorney General of Tennessee gives me motivation to continue to learn history including social justice.  My future goal is to someday work in these areas to help emphasize the need to make Civil Rights stronger to reduce discrimination, protect the environment from pollution,  have criminal justice reform to help protect people’s rights while reduce crime, and have immigration reform to help protect immigrants including refugees from being oppressed.

I strongly believe that you are making a great difference.  I’m very proud on how you are working hard to support Civil Rights,  protect the environment, push for criminal justice reform, and advocate for immigration reform.  Another thing that I like is how you are a moderate Republican on advocating for common sense ideas when the GOP gets too extreme.  You have inspired me to work hard on my disability and to continue to learn history including social justice.  Thanks for taking the time to read my letter, working hard to make a great difference, and inspiring me. Please continue to   support with advocate for common sense ideas.

Sincerely,

Matt Winick

Also I find your sister Mary McCormack’s acting in In Plain Sight to be a very inspiring to me and her acting really inspires me to work hard on my disability.  I have a letter to Ms. Mary McCormack and I was wondering if you could please forward my letter to her because she is a true inspiration to me.  Thanks for taking the time to read my letter, working hard to improve society, and inspiring me.  Please continue to advocate for common sense ideas.

Dear Mr. Selleck,

My name is Matt Winick and I’m a fan of your acting.  My favorite tv show that you are currently playing in is Blue Bloods.  Blue Bloods is a great show about the Reagan family ranging from law enforcement and ADA on how they work on making New York a safe place while making sure that the family stick together when they have some struggles. Mr. Selleck, you do such an excellent job portraying as Police Commissioner Frank Reagan because I like on how you make Police Commissioner Reagan have different unique traits like caring about the NYPD’s police officers, having the courage to stand up to politicians when they want to weaken the police department, and trying to understand how to reform the NYPD to help make the criminal justice system perfect.  Also what I like about Police Commissioner Reagan is how he cares about his siblings like Police officer Jamie Reagan, Detective Donnie Reagan, ADA Erin Reagan, and the rest of the family members when they have struggles or trying to understand more about the criminal justice system.   So far I enjoy watching season 1 though season 8 of Blue Bloods because I enjoy seeing how the Reagan family would work together on helping each other out, seeing how Police Commissioner Reagan continue to understand while improve himself on running the NYPD, and watching the Reagan Family have dinner together where they have conversation.

Mr. Selleck, I have autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advance subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased. Your role as Police Commissioner Reagan, cast of Blue Bloods, and how they work together on having friendships when times are hard really inspires me to work hard on my disability and understand the importance of friendships.  Also your work in Blue Bloods helped me continue being motivated to be a fan of the show.

Dear Ms. Loren,

My name is Matt Winick and I’m a fan of your work as a singer and your life.   I liked on how you got started into becoming a singer when you made an appearance on The Mickey Mouse Club where you sang I didn’t Know the Gun was Loaded and Pennies from Heaven.  I enjoy watching some of the Dr. Pepper commercials on Youtube and you did an excellent job portraying as Dr. Pepper Girl  because I liked on how you tell a short story about Dr. Pepper during an cartoon animation and sang songs about Dr. Pepper having a great taste and how drinking Dr. Pepper is cool doing different things.  In some of the beach movies like  Bikini Beach, Pajama Party,  Beach Blanket Bingo,  Muscle Beach Party I thought you really did a great job making Love’s A Secret Weapon, Among the Young,  Muscle Bustle, and It Only Hurts When I Cry because I liked on how you made the songs creative, have a sense of humor, and how the beach theme movies would have a balance between comedy and what a typical beach life is like.   Also I really enjoy listening to some of your songs Last Night I Had a Dream, Love It Away, Still Love You, and Be Your Best Friend.  Besides your singing career I like on how you are an activist on supporting Civil Rights including people with disabilities causes to help reduce discrimination and support funding the arts to make them diverse for society.

Ms. Loren, I have autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advance subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased.  Your commitment to be a strong supporter and advocate for Civil Rights including people with disabilities’ rights really inspires me to work hard on my disability. Recently I visited Disney Hollywood Studios where I explore an exhibit of Walt Disney’s life and in the exhibit I saw about how the Mickey Mouse Club helped changed young people with singing talent to become famous or expand their talent. When I saw part of t he Mickey Mouse Club I saw your name and I enjoyed learning how you become talented.  As a result of the Walt Disney Exhibit, it helped me get interested learning about your career in singing. When I was in middle school I used to watch the beach theme movies like Pajama Party, Bikini Beach, and many others and when you sang I use to dance along with it. One of my favorite songs in those movies was “Among The Young”

I strongly believe that you really made a great difference in the music industry. I’m very proud on how you worked hard making songs, beach songs, and Dr. Pepper commercials have a creativity, sense of humor, and some swing.  You have inspired me to work hard on my disability, learn about your career in singing, and be a fan of you.  I was wondering if you could please take the time to answer some of my questions.   Here is $25 as a donation for you to use to help fund the arts.  Thanks for taking the time to read my letter, making a great difference in the music entertainment, and inspiring me.  I wish you the best for the future.
