Dear Mr. Williams,

My name is Matt Winick and I’m a fan  of your acting. My favorite tv show that you are playing in Black Lightning. Black Lightning is a great show because I enjoy the plot of the show about  Jefferson Pierce, a principal of a high school who comes back from retirement of being a superhero to return as Black Lighting to help protect the community from crime.  Mr. Williams, you do such a great job portraying as Jefferson Pierce/ Black Lightning because I like on how you make him have great traits like caring about his family’s safety while being a superhero,  using his role as principal of a high school to help students from getting in trouble, understanding how to improve his ability on electricity,  and having a great goal of wanting to make a city safe from crime.   In January 2018, I enjoyed watching the plot episode of Black Lightning because I liked learning about how Jefferson Pierce decides to become Black Lighting to help protect his family.   Another reason I like Black Lightning is how it shows on how African Americans are working hard to survive the difficult life in society dealing with crime and racial issues.  

Mr. Williams, I have autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advance subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased. Another thing that I struggle with a disability is when I have trouble fitting in with people due to being different from people, have trouble with maintaining friendships, and many others. Your role as Jefferson Pierce/ Black Lightning on learning about how society works and understanding how to improve his super ability gives me some inspiration to work hard on my disability.  My traits that I have is I like to be friendly to people, work hard on helping people, and have a strong passion on learning history and social justice.  Also I enjoy reading DC comic books about Black Lighting fighting crime along with teaming up with the Justice League to save the world.

I strongly believe that you are doing an excellent job making Black Lighting a great superhero show.  You are making Jefferson Pierce/ Black Lighting  a great character with different unique traits. You have truly inspired me to work hard on my disability, be a fan of the show, and enjoy your acting. I hope someday your character can crossover with Supergirl, Flash, Green Arrow, and the rest of the DC characters to team together I was wondering if you could please give me some advice about working hard on how to overcome different struggles. Thanks for taking the time to read my letter, doing an excellent job making Black Lightning a great show, and inspiring me.  I wish you the best to continue to make great episodes and I really do hope that there can be a season 3 of Black Lightning.
