Dear Honorable Matthews,


My name is Matt Winick from Ann Arbor, Michigan and I have a strong interest in learning history including social justice. In these subjects, I like to learn the need for civil rights to be stronger to reduce discrimination and many others. Honorable Matthews, the main reason I’m writing you a letter is to explain how I find your work when you served as 11th U.S. Secretary of Health, Education, and Welfare to be very inspiring to me.


When you served as 11th U.S. Secretary of Health, Education, and Welfare from 1975-1977, I truly appreciated on how you were a strong supporter of civil rights by advocating for people with disabilities’ rights and working with President Gerald Ford to expand funds to help women including minorities businesses to help them compete in the economy. I like on how you worked with President Gerald Ford and U.S. Secretary Carla A. Hills of Housing and Urban Development to help push All Handicapped Children Act to create special education to help children with disabilities get access to an education. I like your approach to improve education by expanding funds to improve special education to help students with disabilities get accommodations they need to learn and work with President Ford to increase programs to help train teachers including school professionals about the education system. To improve healthcare, I like on how you implemented programs to help educate people about the dangers of second hand smoke to help reduce cancer and expand on programs to help treat people who are addicted to alcohol or drugs to reduce alcohol or drug abuse.  Also I like on how you work to expand on food stamps to help people who are low-income or children who are in poverty get access to nutrition and push for programs to help people who are homeless get shelter or food supplies.  After you left public service, I like on how you are a continuous strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights, express the need for more improvements of special education to help students with disabilities, the need for universal health care reform to help people with pre-existing conditions including people who can’t afford health insurance get the care they need, and many others.  


Honorable Matthews, I have autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advance subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased. Your commitment to be a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights really inspires me to work hard on my disability.  Also I have visited the Gerald Ford Library and the Gerald Ford Presidential Museum in Michigan and I enjoyed learning about your work in President Gerald Ford administration and how President Ford worked hard to help our country. Your work in public service gives me motivation to continue to learn history including social justice.  My future goal is to someday work in these areas to help emphasize the need for civil rights to be stronger to reduce discrimination, protect the environment from pollution, have health care reform to help people with pre-existing conditions or who can’t afford health care get the care they need. My letter is a gift to you for inspiring me and to wish you a Happy Birthday for December 6th. My birthday is December 3rd. 


I strongly believe that you made a great difference when you served in public service. I’m very proud on how you worked hard to support civil rights, expand on healthcare, and many others.  You have inspire me to work hard on my disability, learn about your work, and continue to learn different subjects.  Thanks for taking the time to read my letter, working hard to make a great difference for society, and inspiring me. My name is Matt Winick and I’m a fan of your acting. My favorite tv show that you played in was Life Goes On. Life Goes On was a great show about the Thatcher Family (  Andrew, Corky, Rebecca, and Elizabeth, and Paige) who live in  Chicago where they have to deal with different things in life. Ms. LuPone, I thought you did an excellent job portraying as Elizabeth Libby Thatcher because I liked on how you made her have different unique traits like caring about her son Corky when he struggles with a disability which is down syndrome, helping her daughter Rebecca to feel confident when she struggle with social skills, and many others.   I enjoy watching re-run episodes in season 1 through 4 of Life Goes On  because I enjoy seeing your character Elizabeth being compassionate for people who have different struggles and being an advocate for people with disabilities’ rights.  Hollywood Netflix was a great mini-series about aspiring actors and filmmakers who are trying to achieve their dreams during the Hollywood Golden Age. In Hollywood, I thought you really did an excellent job portraying as Avis Amberg because I really liked on how you made Avis Amberg have different unique traits like wanting to fix the Ace studio when her husband had made mistakes, trying to overcome her challenges when she is discriminated based on gender when she become head of Ace Studios, having a passion for diversity along with combating against discrimination, and many others.  Also in Hollywood Netflix series I liked on how it showed what it was like for minorities to face discrimination in the entertainment industry, how actors or other filmmakers who were same sex relationship have struggles in being accepted into society, and how white washing is negative.   


Besides your acting career, I truly appreciate on how you are a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes to reduce discrimination. Also on your activism, I like on how you support fund to donate to fund the arts to make them be a part of society,  improve diversity in the arts, and many others. Ms. LuPone, I have autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advance subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased.  Another thing that I struggle with my disability is when I feel depressed and discourage about myself when some of my friends, peers of them, and adults get judgmental about me being different form them or having a disability or how they think a person with a disability is bad.  Your commitment to be a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes really inspires me to work hard on my disability. Also your character Elizabeth in Life Goes On  where she helps her son with a disability gives me some confidence that having a disability isn’t a bad thing and that there can be ways to improve myself. 


I strongly believe that you are a very talented actress. You do such an excellent job making your characters have different unique traits. You have truly inspire me to work hard on my disability, be a fan of your acting, and try to find different methods to improve yourself.  Thanks for taking the time to read my letter, working hard to make a great difference, and inspiring me. My name is Matt Winick from Ann Arbor, Michigan and I have a strong interest in learning history including social justice. In these subjects, I like to learn the need to make Civil Rights stronger to reduce discrimination, protect the environment form pollution, and many others. Honorable Harris, the main reason I’m writing you a letter is to explain how I find your work when you served as 78th Governor of Georgia to be very inspiring to me.

 

When you served as 78th Governor of Georgia from 1983-1991, I truly appreciated on how you were a strong supporter of Civil Rights by advocating for people with disabilities’ rights, expanding laws to combat against hate-crime to help protect minorities including people who are different, and funding women including minorities businesses to help them compete in the economy.  Also on Civil Rights, I liked on how you tried to push for the Equal Rights Amendment to help protect women from being discriminated based on gender even though the state legislature weren’t supportive of it.  On the economy, I like on how you advocated for the need to raise the minimum wage to help minimum wage workers afford to live and implemented job-training programs to help train youth including workers develop work-skills to help prepare for the work force.  Funded special education to help assist students with disabilities to get accommodations they need to learn, pushed for literacy programs to help students including people who improve on their comprehension,  and implemented the Quality Basic Education Act to help provide funds to improve schools including schools in rural area with education supplies including fix the schools is common sense for education reform.  To protect the environment, I liked on how you supported funds to help clean parks including water resources to make them safe for people to use, worked with both political parties in the state legislature to provide local cities including rural areas to help clean parks including water resources or coastal parks from being polluted, and express support for renewable energy to reduce addiction to oil with gas.  Another thing that I liked about your work as Governor of Georgia was how you worked to hire women, minorities, and people with disabilities to work for the state government and pushed for more drug treatment program to help drug-users get the care they need to reduce drug-abuse.

 

Honorable Harris, I have autism with a learning disability.  Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advance subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased.  Your commitment to be a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights really inspires me to work hard on my disability.  A few years ago I visited Atlanta Georgia where I visited  the Atlanta History Center to learn history about Atlanta Georgia,  the MLK site where I learned about MLK’s life on Civil Rights, and the Jimmy Carter Presidential Museum where I learned about President Carter’s life including his presidency. On my trip when I visited the Atlanta History Center there was a special exhibit  about your work as Governor of Georgia and I had fun learning about how you made a difference in Georgia. Your role as  78th Governor of Georgia give me some motivation to continue to learn history including social justice. My future goal is to someday work in these areas to help emphasize the need to make civil rights stronger to reduce discrimination, protect the environment to reduce pollution,  and many others.

 

I strongly believe that you made a great difference when you served in public service.  I’m very proud on how you work hard to support Civil Rights, protect the environment, push for education reform, and many others.  You have inspired me to work hard on my disability, learn about your work in public service, and to continue to learn history including social justice. My name is Matt Winick and I’m a fan of your acting.  My favorite Disney movie that you did was Beauty and The Beast. Beauty and The Beast was a great Disney movie about a prince who gets transformed into a beast along with his staff gets transformed into different things and Belle, a young village girl who gets ridiculed by other villagers including Gaston due to her being different from them, how Belle decides to stay with the beast so he can release her father which results in Belle having feelings for the beast.  Ms. Anne Worley, I thought you did an excellent job portraying as  The Wardrobe because I liked on how you made the Wardrobe have different unique traits like working with Lumiere, Cogsworth,  and Ms. Potts to help the beast improve his behavior along with his manners to help connect with Belle, caring about Belle when she has a hard time understanding life ,  and many others.  In the movie some of my favorite songs were “Be Our Guest” and “Beauty and the Beast”   because I liked on how the songs have humor along with creativity.  Beauty and The Beast had many great symbolisms like how people who come from different background can connect with each other, don’t judge a person by their cover, a need for friendships, the importance of a person to improve themselves to be better, and how bullying is bad.

 

Besides your acting career, I truly appreciate on how you are a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes to reduce discrimination. Also on your activisms, I really like on how you support funds to improve the art and support environmental protection causes to reduce pollution.  Ms. Anne Worley, I have autism with learning disability.  Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advance subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased.  Another thing that I struggle with a disability is when people including some of my friends or peers of them tease me or use prejudice on me based on a disability. Your commitment to be a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes really inspires me to work hard on my disability.  Also your character Wardrobe  and The Beauty and The Beast help give me some motivation to work hard to improve myself, try to understand how friendship works, and many others.  Also another thing to mention is that I really like watching Disney movies because shows diversity, have symbolism like the need for friendships including the importance to improve yourself when you face different challenges, and many others.

 

I strongly believe that you are a very talented actress.  You did an excellent job making the Wardrobe a great character with different unique traits in Disney Beauty and The Beast.  You truly inspire me to work hard on my disability, be a fan of your acting, and continue to watch Disney movies.  I was wondering if you could please give me some advice about working hard on my disability.  Thanks for taking the time to read my letter, working hard to make a great difference, and inspiring me. My name is Matt Winick, an Asian American from Ann Arbor, Michigan  and I have a strong interest in learning history including social justice. In these subjects, I like to learn the need for civil rights to be stronger to reduce discrimination, protect the environment from pollution, improve social justice to make communities a better place, and many others. State Senator Chang, the main reason I’m writing you a letter is to explain how I find your work when you served as Member of the Michigan House of Representatives from the 6th District and as current Member of the Michigan Senate from the 1st District and your activism to help the Asian American community to be very inspiring to me.


In January 2015, I was amazed on how you made history on becoming the first Asian American woman to be elected to the Michigan state legislature.   When you served as Member of the Michigan House of Representatives from the 6th District from 2015-2019, I truly appreciate on how you were a strong supporter of civil rights by advocating for people with disabilities’ rights, supporting funds to help women including minorities businesses to help them compete in the economy, and working with state legislators to expand on laws to combat against hate-crimes to help protect minorities including people who are different.   On the economy, I liked on how you support an expansion of jobs-training programs to help train youth including workers to develop or improve on work-skills to help prepare for the work force and heavily advocate for the need to raise the minimum wage to help assist minimum wage workers afford to live.  Supporting funds for renewable energy resources to help reduce addiction to oil with gas, encouraging businesses including industries to use energy efficient products to help reduce high energy cost while reduce pollution, and providing funds to improve government services to help clean parks including water resources to make them safe for people to use is common sense to protect the environment.  On education I like on how you push for funds to improve special education to help students with disabilities get accommodations they need to learn and support literacy programs to help adults including students develop literacy skills to improve on comprehension.  In your current role as Member of the Michigan Senate from the 1st District, I like on how you are a continuous strong supporter of civil rights by advocating for people with disabilities’ rights, supporting funds to help women including minorities businesses to help them compete in the economy, and working with state legislators to expand on laws to combat against hate-crimes to help protect minorities including people who are different.   Also on the environment, I like on how you continue to support renewable energy resources and work with other state legislatures to provide money to help clean water resources including water areas around Flint to help improve public health while make water safer for people to use. Another thing that I like about your work in the Michigan Senate is how you oppose the Medicaid work-requirements due to people struggle with a disability or an illness including people who can’t work or find a full time job from losing access to Medicaid, support funds to help people with disabilities or people who struggle with mental health including people with autism to get some access to health care or mental health services, and working to help people who lost their job to COVID-19 pandemic get unemployment money.  Besides your work in the Michigan state legislature,  I truly appreciate on how you use your role as an Asian American to help advocate with support Asian American’s rights including Asian American with disabilities’ rights, push for funds to help repair the Asian American communities, and express the need for educational awareness to help educate people about Asian American or Asian culture.

Also being an Asian American with a disability is difficult for me due some Asians including some Asian Americans tease me along with get judgmental about me being different or not meeting their standards.  Your role as an Asian American on advocating for Asian American with disabilities’ rights gives me some confidence about being an Asian American when I face challenges. Your role in the Michigan state legislature gives me motivation to continue to learn history including social justice.  My future goal is to someday work in these areas to help emphasize the need to make civil rights stronger to reduce discrimination, protect the environment from pollution, and many others.  


I strongly believe that you are making a great difference for society. I’m very proud on how you are working hard to support civil rights, protect the environment, advocate with support social justice, and help the Asian American community.  You have inspire me to work hard on my disability, learn about your work, continue to learn history including social justice,  and be confident about being an Asian American when there are challenges. My name is Matt Winick and I enjoy watching you act in movies and also my favorite T.V. Show The West Wing. My favorite movies that you played in are Wall Street, The Departed, Catch Me If You Can, The American President, and Bobby.  The West Wing was a great political tv show about President Jed Barlett and his presidential administration on how they had to deal with the political system to help America. Mr. Sheen, I thought you did an excellent job portraying as President Jed Barlett because I liked on how you made him have different unique traits like having compassion when people have difficulty with life in America or when they deal with politics, working with members of his presidential administration to find different solutions to help our country along with work as a team when there are differences, and many others. Another thing that I liked about President Jed Barlett is how he works hard to navigate his presidency to find some common ground or stand up for good principles when political parties aren’t supportive of them.  I enjoyed watching all the episodes of season 1 through 7 of West Wing because it helped me learn what it is like for president to lead the country, how the political system works, and many others.   Another show that I liked that you narrated in was Eyewitness. Eyewitness was a great educational series where it covered different topics related to science and some history. You did an excellent job narrating the Eyewitness because I liked on how you did an excellent job explaining different facts to the topics, explain how science plays a role in society, and many others.

 

Besides your acting career, I truly appreciate on how you are a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes to help reduce discrimination.  Also on your activism I like on how you support environmental protection causes to reduce pollution, advocate for the need for health care reform to help protect people with pre-existing conditions or who can’t afford health care get the care they need, and express the need for better voter’s rights protection to help protect voters from losing their right to vote.  Mr. Sheen, I have autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advance subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased.  Also your narration in the Eyewitness series helped me improve my comprehension on learning different topics and it helped give me motivation to learn on how science or topics or history shape society.  Also you role as President Barlett in the West Wing and the tv show West Wing got me to interested in learning American history, president’s work, and how government works. In history, I like to learn the need for civil rights to be stronger to reduce discrimination, protect the environment from pollution,  have health care reform to help people with pre-existing conditions or who can’t afford health insurance get the care they need.

 

I strongly believe that you are a very talented actor. You do such an excellent job making your characters have different unique traits and make narration great to help people like me learn. You have inspire me to work hard on my disability, be a fan of your acting, and learn different subjects. My name is Matt Winick and I’m a fan of your acting. My favorite movies that you played in was North By Northwest, A Hateful of Rain, and Because of Winn-Dixie. North By Northwest was a great movie about Roger Thornhill who is trying to prove his innocence when he is accused of being some else and trying to stop government secrets from falling to the wrong hands.  Ms. Marie Saint, I thought you did an excellent job portraying as Eve Kendall because I liked on how you made her have different unique traits like working to help Roger prove his innocence, developing a relationship with Roger when they have different challenges, and many others.   In North By Northwest, my favorite scene was where Roger and Eve would try to escape from the bad guys by climbing the Mount Rushmore.   A Hateful of Rain was an interesting movie about Johnny, a Korean Aar veteran who is known as a hero for his survival while helping some of his troops during the Korean War and has a struggle with being addicted to morphine due to his injuries.  In A Hateful of Rain, I liked on how you made Celia have different  unique traits like caring about her husband Johnny when he has challenges on being addicted to morphine along with his struggles of PTSD and working with Johnny’s relatives to try to help Johnny get cleaned. The movie did an excellent job showing what it is like for people who are addicted to drugs and the importance of drug treatment programs to help drug-users get clean.  Because of Winn-Dixie was another movie that I really like was because I enjoyed the plot of the film about a young girl named Opal who recently moved to Florida with her dad who is a minister and has to try to understand her life when she struggles to fit in.  Ms. Marie Saint, I really like on how you made Ms. Franny Block an important character in the movie because I like on how you made Ms. Franny Block be kind to Opal when she struggles to fit into her new town, giving her advice about understanding friendship, and many others.  


Besides your acting career, I truly appreciate on how you are an activist on supporting civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes to reduce discrimination.  Ms. Marie Saint, I have autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advance subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased. Also another thing that I struggle with a disability is when I have trouble maintaining friendships along with understand life when I lose friends due to some of my friends, peers of them, and other adults get judgmental about me being different from them. Your commitment to be a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes really inspires me to work hard on my disability. Also your role as Ms. Franny Block in Because of Winn-Dixie helps me try my best to understand life and how friendship works when there are challenges. 


I strongly believe that you are a very talented actress. You do such an excellent job making your characters have different unique traits. My name is Matt Winick and I’m a fan of your acting. My favorite tv show that you played in was Charlie’s Angels.  Charlie’s Angels was a great crime drama about women who join Townsend Private Detective Agency where they solve different cases and where they get help from John Bosley, an assistant to Charlie Townsend.  Ms. Smith, I thought you did an excellent job portraying as Kelly Garrett because I liked on how you made her have different unique traits like caring about victims of the crime or other people who have been affected through trauma, investigating different witness statements including evidence to help solve cases, learning to use different skills to help her fit her undercover missions, and many others.  I really enjoy watching re-run episodes of season 1 through season 5 of Charlie’s Angels because I enjoy seeing how Kelly Garrett would work with different women to solve different cases when each of them have different skills.  Another thing that I liked about Charlie’s Angels was how it covered different topics like the need to reduce domestic violence along with the importance of criminal justice reform, a strong need to reduce racial profiling, some messages like the need for teamwork or friendships when there are conflicts, and many others.  My favorite movie that you played in was Florence Nightingale. Florence Nightingale was a great biopic movie about how Florence Nightingale became a nurse and later become influential women for medicine.  In that movie, I liked on how you made Florence Nightingale a great historical figure by making her be compassionate for people who struggle with health issues, standing up against the establishment when they don’t support the idea of better health services, and working to overcome her challenges on facing discrimination based on being a women.


Besides your acting career, I truly appreciate on how you are a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes to reduce discrimination. Also on your activism, I like on how you support environmental protection causes to reduce pollution, express the need for health care reform to help people with pre-existing conditions or people who can’t afford health insurance get the care they need, and donate funds to help combat against breast cancer. Ms. Smith, I have autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advance subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased. Another thing that I struggle with a disability is when some of my friends, peers of them, and adults get judgmental about me being different or having a disability. Your commitment to be a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes really inspires me to work hard on my disability.  Also your character Kelly Garrett in Charlie’s Angels gives me some inspiration to continue to be motivated to work on my disability and be creative on learning different skills.  Your role as Florence Nightingale in Florence Nightingale got me interested in developing an interest in learning history including American history. In history I like to learn the need for civil rights to be stronger to reduce discrimination, protect the environment from pollution, the importance of health care reform to help people with pre-existing conditions or people who can’t afford health care get the care they need, learn how famous people or different individuals (minorities, women, and people with disabilities) on how they made a great impact on society, and many others.


I strongly believe that you are a very talented actress.  You really did an excellent job making Kelly Garrett a great character with different traits in Charlie’s Angels and making Florence Nightingale a great historical figure. I truly appreciate on how you are an activist to help improve society. You have inspire me to work hard on my disability, be a fan of your acting, continue to learn history.  I was wondering if you could take the time to answer my questions.  Thanks for taking the time to read my letter, working hard to make a great difference, and inspiring me.
