Dear City Councilwoman Castaneda-Lopez,


My name is Matt Winick from Ann Arbor, Michigan and I have a strong interest in learning history including social justice. In these subjects, I like to learn the need for civil rights to be stronger to reduce discrimination, protect the environment from pollution, and many others. City Councilwoman Castaneda-Lopez, the main reason I’m writing you a letter is to explain how I find your work as Member of Detroit City Council from the 6th District to be very inspiring to me.


In 2013, I was amazed on how you made history on becoming the first Latina woman to be elected to the Detroit City Council. In your current role as Member of Detroit City Council from the 6th District, I truly appreciate on how you are a strong supporter of Civil Rights by advocating for people with disabilities’ rights, supporting funds for women including minorities businesses to help them compete in the economy, and working with members of the Detroit City Council along with Mayor Mike Duggan to expand on laws to combat against hate-crime in order to protect minorities including people who are different. On the economy, I liked on how you support an expansion of jobs-training programs to help train youth including workers to develop or improve on their work-skills to help prepare for the work force and advocate for the need to raise the minimum wage to help assist minimum wage workers afford to live.  supporting funds for renewable energy resources to help reduce addiction to oil with gas, encouraging businesses including industries to use energy efficient products to help reduce high energy cost while reduce pollution, and pushing for funds to help maintain parks including water resources to make them safe for people to use is common sense to help protect the environment. On criminal justice reform, I like on how you push for drug treatment programs to help drug-users get the care they need to reduce drug abuse and heavily support along with advocate for funds to improve DNA testing including forensic science to solve evidence along with cases efficiently while reduce sending an innocent person to jail.  Your approach to police reform like the need for body cameras on police officers to reduce police misconduct,  support laws to investigate law enforcement who are corrupt or commit police misconduct along with prevent them from having a job in law enforcement, and push for community policing to have law enforcement work with the community to improve relations between them.  Another thing that I like about your work in Detroit City Council is how you push for funds to help restore along with preserve historical sites including attractions to help make learning a better place while improve tourism, work with organizations to help homeless people or people who are low-income get shelter along with food or other supplies, and many others. 


 City Councilwoman Castaneda-Lopez, I have autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advance subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased.  Your commitment to be a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights really inspires me to work hard on my disability. I have visited Detroit, Michigan many times and went to the Detroit Historical Museum to learn about the history of Detroit along with learn how famous people along with Motown have shaped Detroit and the Detroit Institute of Art Museum to see different artist along with their work. Your role as member of Detroit City Council from the 6th District gives me motivation to continue to learn history including social justice.  My future goal is to someday work in these areas to help emphasize the need for civil rights to be stronger to reduce discrimination, protect the environment from pollution, and many others. 


I strongly believe that you are making a great difference for society. I’m very proud on how you are working hard to support civil rights, protect the environment, push for criminal justice reform, and many others. You have inspire me to work hard on my disability, learn about your work, visit Detroit to learn about the history along with culture of Detroit, and be motivated to continue to learn history including social justice.  Thanks for taking the time to read my letter, working hard to make a great difference, and inspiring me. State Senator McCollister, the main reason I’m writing you a letter is to explain how I find your work as State Senator of the Nebraska 20th District and as a moderate Republican to be very inspiring to me.


In your current role as State Senator of the Nebraska 20th District, I truly appreciate on how you are a strong supporter of civil rights by advocating for people with disabilities’ rights, supporting funds for women including minorities businesses to help them compete in the economy, and working with other state legislatures to expand on laws to combat against hate crime to help protect minorities including people who are different.  Supporting funds for renewable energy resources to help reduce addiction to oil with gas, encouraging businesses including industries to use energy efficient products to help reduce high energy cost while reduce pollution,  and working with other state legislatures to expand funds to help companies work on clean energy technology to create jobs while protect the environment is common sense to protect the environment.  On education, i liked on how you support funds to help improve special education to help students with disabilities to get accommodations they need to learn and expand on literacy programs to help youth including adults develop or improve on comprehension. having the courage to support legislation to repeal the death penalty to reduce wrongful convictions, supporting funds to improve DNA testing including forensic science to help solve evidence efficiently while reduce sending an innocent person to jail, and pushing for more drug treatment programs to help drug users get the care they need to reduce drug abuse is common sense for criminal justice reform.  Another thing that I like about your work in the Nebraska State  Legislature is how you support police reform bill like body cameras on police officers including this investigation on police that commit misconduct, heavily advocate for medicaid including health care reform to help people who are low-income including people with disabilities to get help on their health, and many others. Also I like on how you are a moderate Republican on supporting civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights, heavily support the environmental protection, expanding on criminal justice reform, and speak out against voter suppression laws.


State Senator McCollister, I have autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advance subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased. Also with my disability, I struggle with getting access to health care including some government services due to being discriminated on a disability. Your commitment to be a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights really inspires me to work hard on my disability.  On Youtube and on different articles I enjoy learning about your work, how you spoke up against the GOP including President Trump for using controversial views, being anti people with disabilities’ rights, anti- environmental protection. Your current role as State Senator of the Nebraska 20th District gives me motivation to continue to learn history including social justice.  My future goal is to someday work in these areas to help emphasize the need for civil rights to be stronger to reduce discrimination, protect the environment from pollution, and many others.


I strongly believe that you are making a great difference in public service. I’m very proud on how you are a moderate Republican and working hard to support civil rights, protect the environment, expand on criminal justice reform, and many other common sense ideas.  Also I truly appreciate on how you have the courage to speak out against hate and when the GOP gets too extreme. You have inspire me to work hard on my disability, learn about your work, and continue to learn different subjects. My name is Matt Winick and I’m a fan of your acting. My favorite tv show that you played in was The American Girls. The American Girls was a great tv show about Rebecca and Amy, two young reporters who work for the American Report, a news magazine where they travel across America to report on news, interview people, and do investigation journalism. Ms. Clinger, you did such an excellent job portraying as News Reporter Amy Waddell because I liked on how you made her have different unique traits like being compassionate and helping people who have struggles in life, using her news reporter skills to investigate news or different cases, having the passion for the need for law enforcement including public officials to be hold accountable for their actions or when they are corrupt, wanting to hear people’s stories about how they work hard to overcome different challenges, and many others. Also what I liked about News Reporter Amy Waddell was how she would work with News Reporter Rebecca Tomkins on doing investigation journalisms and continuing their friendship along with a working relationship when they have differences or different approach on handling a situation.  I really enjoy watching re-run episodes of the show.


Besides your acting career, I truly appreciate on how you are a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes to reduce discrimination. Ms. Clinger, I have autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advance subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased. Another thing that I struggle with a disability is when other people including other adults get judgmental about me being different from them and have struggles to find different methods to improve myself.  Your commitment to be a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes really inspires me to work hard on my disability.  Also your character News Reporter Amy Waddell in The American Girls helps give me motivation to try to find different methods to improve myself, have the courage to help including be compassionate to people when they have struggles, and improve critical thinking to help me understand different situations or a problem/solution approach.  Also your acting in The American Girls help me develop and continue to watch different shows that want to help people like The Equalizer CBS, NCIS New Orleans, Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, Chicago PD, The Good Doctor, Hunter, LA Law, Psych, Royal Pains,  The Rookie, and many others.


I strongly believe that you are a very talented actress. You do such an excellent job making your characters have different unique traits.  I thought you did a greta job making The American Girls a great tv show to watch. You have truly inspire me to work hard on my disability, be a fan of your acting, try my best to understand life, and continue to watch different tv shows. President Parham, the main reason I’m writing you a letter is to explain how I find your work as 11th President of California State University, Dominguez Hills and some of your work on social justice including mental health to be very inspiring to me.


In your current work as 11th President of California State University, Dominguez Hills, I truly appreciate on how  I truly appreciate on how you are a strong supporter and advocate for civil rights by advocating for people with disabilities’ rights and expressing the need to make civil rights stronger to reduce discrimination in order to protect women, minorities, and people with disabilities. Also to improve civil rights, I liked on how you work to expand on rules to combat against bullying and harassment.  Supporting accommodations to help students with disabilities like extra time on exams or use educational software to help improve comprehension, expanding tutoring services to provide students with help on their assignments from tutors, and implementing more liberal arts, arts, humanities, history, and basic classes to make education diverse along with make more opportunities for students to find subjects that they want to learn are great ways to improve education reform. Also on education reform I like on how you support literacy programs to help students including adults improve on their comprehension skills or gain literacy skills.  On diversity, I like on how you work on hiring women, minorities, and people with disabilities to work for the college and expand on programs to help educate staff members and students about different cultures along with the need for diversity to accept people who are different or come from a different background. Another thing that I like about your work as President of California State University, Dominguez Hills, is how you expand on more research programs to help students get engage to learn how different topics can make a great difference for society, implement mental health services to help students who struggle with mental health to get the care they need, push for more scholarships to help low income students or minorities get assistance on getting into college or affording supplies, expand more literacy programs to allow tutors to help students including adults in the California area get help on improving their comprehension, and heavily express the need to reduce high tuition cost to help students from paying high costs in order to get a college. Besides your work as President of California State University, Dominguez Hills,  is I like on how you are how you are a continuous strong supporter of civil rights causes, advocate for environmental protection to reduce pollution, emphasize the need for more liberal arts in colleges, a strong need for criminal justice reform to help protect people’s rights while reduce crime, and express the need for immigration reform to help protect immigrants, dreamers, and refugees from being oppressed.  Also I like on how you use your role as an African American to advocate with a support of the need to help the African American community with health care, mental health services, educational programs, and many others. 


President Parham, I have autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advance subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased. Also with my disability I struggle with mental health like depression including anxiety when I get bullied or face harsh judgment by other people about being different,  when I have trouble fitting into social groups or activities, and many others. It is hard for me to find good mental services to get help. Your commitment to be a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes really inspires me to work hard on my disability. Also I enjoy reading your articles on California State University, Dominguez Hills, American Psychological Association,  and other sources about the need for better mental health services to help people who struggle with mental health, the importance of education reform to improve learning, emphasize the need to reduce racial injustice, and better educational awareness about mental health.  Reading some of your work and seeing you in different documentaries helped me get motivated to try to understand how society works or if there are ideas better improve society when there are obstacles.  Your advocacy for the need to improve mental health services including people who struggle with mental health rights helps give me some comfort when I struggle with mental health. Your work and your role as 11th President of California State University, Dominguez Hills gives me motivation to continue to learn history, social justice, diversity, health care, environment, and education reform. My future goal is to someday work in these areas to help emphasize the need for civil rights to be stronger to reduce discrimination, protect the environment from pollution, expand on diversity to accept people who different or come from a different background, improve education reform to make learning a better tool, have health care reform to help people with pre-existing conditions or who can’t afford health care get the care they need, and many others.

My name is Matt Winick from  Ann Arbor, Michigan and I'm a fan of Ms. Queen Latifah's acting and her activism on supporting civil rights including people with disabilities' rights causes.  I have autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me  because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advance subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased. Another thing that I struggle with a disability is when other people including other adults get judgmental about me being different from them and have struggles to find different methods to improve myself.   Ms. Latifah's commitment to be a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities' rights causes really inspires me to work hard on my disability. Also her characters that she plays in movies also helps give me motivation to continue to understand life when there are challenges, learn compassion is a good tool, and many others. Recently I heard that she will star in The Equalizer CBS show and I was able to see the parts of the first episode and I really liked it.  On February 4th 2021, I sent an email to The New Jersey Film Commission explaining them about myself along with how Ms. Queen Latifah is a true inspiration and I asked them if there was a via venue mail address for The Equalizer. The New Jersey Film Commission sent me an email back and provided me with a via venue address of the show and to mail my letter to Ms. Queen Latifah in the care of you.  I have a letter explaining how I find Ms. Queen Latifah’s acting including her activism to be very inspiring to me, a Q+A Sheet, a small donation for her to use for her activism, and an SASE sho she doesn’t have to pay for postage. My question is I was wondering if you could please forward my items to Ms. Queen Latifah because she truly inspires me to work hard on my disability, her characters that plays in movies including the Equalizer helps me develop motivation to try to understand life while learn different methods to improve myself.  Also I saw the pilot of The Equalizer and I continue to watch more episodes and I really like the show including her character Robyn McCall.

Mr. Jordan, I have autism with a learning disability. Besides your singing career, I truly appreciate on how you are a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes to reduce discrimination. 


Ms. Zadora, I have autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advance subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased. Also another thing that I struggle with a disability is when I sometimes accidentally make a mistake when I have challenges on understanding life, get rejected from social groups, and have challenges in maintaining friendships due to other adults get judgmental about me being different from them or not meeting their standards.  When I deal with these challenges, I feel discourage about myself and get depressed.  Your commitment to be a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes really inspires me to work hard on my disability. Some of your songs that have life lessons and symbolisms about life including finding love along with kindness helps give me some motivation to try understand the importance of love including kindness or find ways to improve myself when there are challenges.


I strongly believe that you are a very talented singer. I truly appreciate on how you are an activist to help improve society and being an advocate for people with disabilities’ rights.  You do such an excellent job making your songs have creativity and nice message about life. You and your work really inspires me to work hard on my disability, be a fan of your work, and try to understand life when there are challenges. Your role as 12th President of Wayne State University gives me motivation to continue to learn history, social justice, environment, and diversity. My future goal is to someday work in these areas to help emphasize the need for civil rights to be stronger to reduce discrimination, protect the environment from pollution, have education reform to improve learning, expand on diversity to accept people who are different or come from a different background, improve social justice to make communities a better place, and many others.

Chef Judy Joo

Dear Ms. Joo,  


My name is Matt Winick, an Asian American from Ann Arbor, Michigan and I have a strong interest in learning history and culture. In these subjects, I like to learn the need for civil rights to reduce discrimination and learn how different cultures help make in impact on society. Ms. Joo, the main reason I'm writing you a letter is to explain how I find your work as a chef, as a host of  Korean Food Made Simple tv show, and as an Asian American activist to be very inspiring to me. 


Korean Food Made Simple was a great food show about you traveling to South Korea to help educate people about Korean culture along with how to make Korean food. Ms. Joo, I thought you did an excellent job hosting Korean Food Made Simple because I liked on how you did a great job interviewing Koreans about the Korean culture, working with some cooks in Korea to present how to make different Korean recipes, and many others.  Also I enjoy reading some of your cook books "Judy Joo's Korean Soul Food" and "Korean Food Made Simple" because I like learning how Korean food can be created in different ways. Also on some of the food network shows and on talk shows I like on how you would give people advice about preparing or cooking food and helping give instructions to make the recipe.  


Besides your cooking and your host of Korean Food Made Simple, I truly appreciate on how you are a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities' rights causes to reduce discrimination. I like on how you use your role as an Asian American to help advocate with support Asian Americans including Asian Americans with disabilities rights, express the need for educational awareness about Asian American culture, and many others. Ms. Joo, I have autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advance subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased. Also with my disability, I have trouble fitting into social groups,  sometimes I struggle to understand different topics, and people including other adults get judgmental about me.  Also being an Asian American with a disability is difficult for me due to some Asians and some Asians Americans get judgmental about me being different from them. Your commitment to be a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities' rights causes really inspires me to work hard on my disability. Also your role as an Asian American on supporting Asian Americans with disabilities' rights helps give me some confidence about being an Asian American when there are struggles.  Your role as a chef, as a tv host of Korean Food Make Simple, and as a Asian American advocate helps give me motivation to continue to learn history and culture. 


I strongly believe that you are a very talented chef and a talented tv host/ media presenter.  You do an excellent job presenting recipes while give advice about how to prepare or cook a recipe. Also I truly appreciate your activism to help make society a better place. You truly inspire me to work hard on my disability, be a fan of your work, learn different things, and continue to be confident about being an Asian American when there are challenges. I was wondering if you could please share with some advice about working hard on my disability.  Thanks for taking the time to read my letter, working hard to make a great difference, and inspiring me. Please continue to make a great impact on society.


Here is a picture of me when I made the Lemon Loaf Bread recipe from Home And Family episode that you were featured in.  It was hard for me to find lavender oil food base so I made the recipe without the lavender. I hope that you enjoy the photo.
