Dear Ms. Brooks,
My name is Matt Winick and I’m a fan of your acting. My favorite tv shows that you were in was Orange is New Black and Peacemaker. Orange is New Black is a great show about Piper Chapman who is sentenced to a women’s prison after committing a crime and has to deal with life in prison. Ms. Brooks, you did an excellent job portraying as Tasha Taystee Jefferson because I like on how you made her have different unique traits like continuing getting her education, trying to advocate for prisoners’ rights when their rights get abused in the criminal justice system, and many others. Also what I like about your character Tasha Taystee Jefferson is how she has compassion for other prisoners when they would have a hard time on dealing with trauma and stand up to other bullies. Orange Is The New Black did a great job showing what it is like on how the prison system is broken, how prisoners are struggling to help help on rehabilitated, and many others. Also another tv show that I liked that you were and currently in is Peacemaker. Peacemaker is a great superhero show about Christopher Smith/Peacemaker who is a vigilante who is forced to join A.R.G.U.S. ops to fight crime while trying to understand life. In Peacemaker, I like on how you made Leota Abebayo have different unique traits like using her skills in fighting to help her team, learning how to improve herself on the job while being a better agent when she struggles, working along with Christopher Smith/Peacemaker to fight crime, and many others. Also what I liked about Peacemaker is how Leota Abebayo and Christopher Smith/Peacemaker would work together while continue their friendship when they would have differences or different views on the world or when they would have different methods to save the world.
Besides your acting career, I truly appreciate on how you are a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes to reduce discrimination. Ms. Brooks, I have autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advance subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased. Another thing that I struggle with a disability is when other people including other adults get judgmental about me being different from them and have struggles to find different methods to improve myself. Also I had done teaching time to help me learn to speak while learn how to improve my behavior, spent time in special education to help me learn different subjects in education, and many others. Your commitment to be a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes really inspires me to work hard on my disability. Your characters Tasha Taystee Jefferson in Orange Is New Black and as Leota Abebayo in Peacemaker helps give me motivation to try to find different methods to improve myself when there are challenges.
I strongly believe that you are a very talented actress. You do such an excellent job making your characters have different unique traits. You truly inspire me to work hard on my disability, be a fan of your acting, and continue to try to find different methods to improve myself when there are challenges. Thanks for taking the time to read my letter, working hard to make a great difference, and inspiring me. Please continue to make a great difference for society,
Sincerely,
Matt Winick
