Dear Ms. Tyo, 

My name is Matt Winick, an Asian American and I’m, a fan of your acting and singing. My favorite movie that you played in was Rediscover Christmas.  Rediscover Christmas was a great Christmas movie about Mia, a Boston Department store window designer who travels to Connecticut her hometown to help her sister Sara design for a Christmas festival. Ms. Tyo, I thought you did an excellent job portraying as Emily because I like on how you make her have different unique traits like helping Mia as her assistant on her business, giving Mia advice when she struggles to understand life, working hard to improve herself when she faces challenges, being kind to other people when they have difficult times, and many others. Also on Youtube I enjoy hearing you sing some songs like  A Message From Shannon, Hi Mom, Three, and many others. You do such an excellent job singing because I like on how you made some lyrics in your songs have creativity and some important messages of life. Also another reason I like your songs is how you make your songs have a message like the need for love, the importance of friendships when times are hard, a strong need for self love when there are difficult times, having faith when the world gets toxic, and many others. Besides your acting and singing career, I like on how you are an activist on supporting civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes to reduce discrimination and support funds to help improve diversity in the arts to make them be a part of society. Also I like on how you use your role as an Asian American to help help advocate including support Asian Americans rights including Asian American with disabilities’ rights, express the need for funds to help repair the Asian American community including their businesses, emphasize the need for educational awareness about Asian American culture including history, and many others.

Ms. Tyo, I have autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advance subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased.  Another thing that I struggle with a disability is when other people including other adults get judgmental about me being different from them and have struggles to find different methods to improve myself.  Your commitment to be a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes really inspires me to work hard on my disability. Your character Emily in Rediscover Christmas  helps give me some motivation  to try find different methods to improve myself when there are challenges. Being an Asian American with a disability is hard for me because some Asians and some Asian Americans get judgmental about me being different from them or not meeting their standards. Also your role as an Asian American and being an advocate along with a supporter of Asians with disabilities’ rights and Asian Americans with disabilities’ rights gives me confidence about being an Asian American with a disability when there are challenges.

I strongly believe that you are a very talented actress. You did such an excellent job making Emily a great character with different unique traits in Rediscover Christmas. You have truly inspires me to work hard on my disability, be confident about being an Asian American when there are challenges, find ways to improve myself when there are challenges, and be a fan of your acting.  I was wondering if you could please take the time to answer some of my questions.  Thanks for taking the time to read my letter, working hard to make a great difference, and inspiring me. Please continue to make a great difference.
