Dear Ms. Hamel,
My name is Matt Winick and I’m a fan of your acting. My favorite tv show that you starred in was Hill Street Blues. Hill Street Blues was a great police show about the lives of police officers including the staff in a police station where it is located in Hill Street. Ms. Hamel, I thought you did an excellent job portraying as Public Defender Joyce Davenport because I like on how you made her have different unique traits like caring about people’s civil liberties from being violated, advocating for criminal justice reform to help protect people’s rights while reduce crime, and many others. Also what I liked about Public Defender Joyce Davenport is how she would continue her relationship with police captain Frank Furillo when they would have differences about law enforcement politics and how she would work hard to improve herself when she faces different obstacles. Also what I liked about Hill Street Blues was how it focused on some criminal justice reform, how staff including law enforcement officers dealt with their personal lives while on the job, the importance of reducing corruption including police misconduct, and many others.
Besides your acting career, I truly appreciate on how you are a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes to reduce discrimination. Ms. Hamel, I have autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advance subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased. Another thing that I struggle with a disability is when other people including other adults get judgmental about me being different from them and have struggles to find different methods to improve myself. Your commitment to be a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes really inspires me to work hard on my disability. Also your character Public Defender Joyce Davenport in Hill Street Blues helps give me motivation to try to find different methods to improve myself and to be interested in learning about civil liberties including criminal justice reform.
I strongly believe that you are a very talented actress, You did an excellent job making Public Defender Joyce Davenport a great character with different unique traits. You truly inspire me to work hard on my disability, be a fan of your acting, find different methods to improve myself, and develop an interest in learning civil liberties including criminal justice reform. Thanks for taking the time to read my letter, working hard to make a great difference, and inspiring me. Please continue to make a great difference for society.
Sincerely,
Matt Winick
