Dear Ms. Mori,

My name is Matt Winick, an Asian American and I’m a fan of your work. The video game that you voiced in was Life Is Strange True Colors. Life Is Strange True Colors is a great RPG game due to the plot about a young girl named Alex Chen who leaves foster care to reunite with her brother Gabe Chen in Haven Springs, Colorado and tries to understand life around her.  Ms. Mori, I thought you did an excellent job portraying/voicing as Alex Chen because I like on how you made her have different unique traits like caring about her brother Gabe when he deals with difficult life, trying to learn how to use her abilities in emotions including reading people’s thinkings to help navigate life or to help herself, and working hard to improve herself. In Life Is Strange True Colors, I enjoy playing Alex Chen where she got to explore the town of Haven Springs, Colorado, interact with different items to learn about the environment or which people she interacted with,  using her abilities to read people’s emotions while trying to understand life, and trying to figure out her life origin.

Besides your acting/voice career,  I truly appreciate on how you are a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes to reduce discrimination. Also I like on how you use your role as an Asian American to help help advocate including support Asian Americans rights including Asian American with disabilities’ rights, express the need for funds to help repair the Asian American community including their businesses, emphasize the need for educational awareness about Asian American culture including history, and many others. Ms. Mori, I have autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advance subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased.  Another thing that I struggle with a disability is when other people including other adults get judgmental about me being different from them and have struggles to find different methods to improve myself.  When I deal with these challenges I struggle to understand life or how to feel about things. Your commitment to be a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes really inspires me to work hard on my disability.  Also your character Alex Chen in Life Is Strange True Colors helps give me some motivation  to try find different methods to improve myself when there are challenges, try to understand people better despite challenges, and work on expanding on critical thinking to improve comprehension or make decisions in life.  Being an Asian American with a disability is hard for me because some Asians and some Asian Americans get judgmental about me being different from them or not meeting their standards. Also your role as an Asian American and being an advocate along with a supporter of Asians with disabilities’ rights and Asian Americans with disabilities’ rights gives me confidence about being an Asian American with a disability when there are challenges.

I strongly believe that you are a very talented voice actress.  You did an excellent job making Alex Chen a great character with different unique traits in Life Is Strange True Colors.  Thank you for making Alex Chen a fun character for me to play and learn more about the world. You truly inspire me to work hard on my disability, be a fan of your work including Life Is Strange True Colors, try to be confident about being an Asian American when there are challenges, and learn different methods to improve myself when there are challenges. I was wondering if you could please take the time to answer some of my questions. Thanks for taking the time to read my letter, working hard to make a great difference, and inspiring me.  Please continue to make a great difference.

Sincerely,

Matt Winick
