Dear Mr. Huck,

My name is Matt Winick from Ann Arbor, Michigan and I have a strong interest in learning history, social justice, and current events. In these subjects, I like to learn the need for civil rights to be stronger to reduce discrimination, protect the environment from pollution, make social justice stronger to improve communities, and many others. Mr. Huck, the main reason I’m writing you a letter is to explain how I find your work as a news reporter/anchor of Fox 5 Vegas to be very inspiring to me.

In your current role as news reporter/anchor of Fox 5 Vegas, I like on how you are a advocating for people with disabilities’ rights and expressing the need to make civil rights stronger to reduce discrimination in order to protect minorities including people who are different.  Also I like on how you are a strong supporter of campaign to combat against bullying.  Your approach in the news media like interviewing people about different topics ranging from local politics through other topics, doing hands-on approach with other people in businesses or when they are demonstrating a product to help viewers understand them, and taking the time to listen to citizens of America including citizens of Las Vegas area or the Nevada area when they have concerns are great ways for journalism. Another thing that I like about your work in Fox 5 Vegas is how you work on doing investigation reporting on public officials or law enforcement who are engage in corruption or misconduct,  address the need to help people who are low income or who are homeless to get access to better resources, emphasize the need to better protect the environment from pollution. and many others. Also another thing to mention is I like on how you heavily advocate for the need for auditing of government agencies including non-profit organizations  to make sure that money isn’t being abused or wasted when they are need to improve services, heavily emphasize the need for better mental health services to help people who struggle with a mental health or have the illnesses, and support educational awareness about minorities communities. “The Rant” is a great news program that you do because I like on how you listen to different citizens in the Las Vegas area including Nevada area where they express concerns or likes about different issues and how you wold highlight the need for fixing on different issues that society face.. Also I like on how you work with Ms. Jaclyn Schultz on reporting different news topics, do interviews with different people about different issues, and many others.  Besides your work in the news media, I like on how you are a supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes and address the importance of social justice including diversity inclusion.

Mr. Huck, I have autism with learning disability. I have autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advance subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts in different settings (social and environmental), and get teased. Also with my disability I have face some challenges on understanding social cues and dealing with social anxiety. Your advocacy along with support for civil rights including people with disabilities’ right causes really inspire me to work hard on my disability. On Youtube, “The Rant”, your work with Ms. Jaclyn Schultz, and on Fox 5 Vegas website, I enjoy learning  about your work including some current events.  Your role as a reporter/anchor of Fox 5 News  gives me motivation to continue to learn history, social justice, and current events. My future goal is to someday work in these areas to help emphasize the the need for civil rights to be stronger to reduce discrimination, protect the environment from pollution, have social justice to help improve the communities, and many others.

I strongly believe that you are making a great difference in society and the news media.  You really inspire me to work hard on my disability  and continue to learn history, social justice, and current events. Thanks for taking the time to read my letter, working hard to make a great difference for society, and inspiring me. Please continue to make a great difference for society and the news media.

Sincerely,

Matt Winick
