Dear Mr. Patinkin,

My name is Matt Winick and I’m a fan of your acting. My favorite tv show that you were in was Chicago Hope. Chicago Hope was a great medical show because I enjoyed the plot of the show about doctors, nurses, and hospital administration on dealing with medical cases.  Another thing that I liked about Chicago Hope is how they showed what it was like dealing with ethics on different medical issues and how different characters have unique traits.   Mr. Patinkin, I thought you did an excellent job portraying as Dr. Jeffrey Geiger because I liked on how you made him have different unique traits like caring about patients who have different medical issues, using his medical skills to help him perform surgeries, learning how to improve himself when he faces different obstacles in life or on the job. Also what I liked about Dr. Jeffrey Geiger is how he want to help patients or people who struggle with different medical issues when they can’t afford health insurance, speak up against hospital administration when they make the system broken, and advocate for the need for better health care reform to help people who can’t afford health insurance. 

Besides your acting career, I truly appreciate on how you are a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes to reduce discrimination. Mr. Patinkin, I have autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advanced subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts in different settings (social and environmental), and get teased. Also with my disability I lose motivation in myself when other people, some of my friends, and peers of them get judgmental about me being different from them or not meeting their standards. Your commitment to be a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights really inspires me to work hard on my disability. Also your character Dr. Jeffrey Geiger in Chicago Hope helps give me motivation to continue to find different methods to improve myself when there are challenges. 

I strongly believe that you are a very talented actor. You do such an excellent job making Dr. Jeffrey Geiger a great character with different unique traits in Chicago Hope. You truly inspire me to work hard on my disability, be a fan of your acting, and continue to find different methods to improve myself when I have challenges.  I was wondering if you could please take the time to answer some of my questions.
