Dear Ms. Villafañe

My name is Matt Winick from Ann Arbor, Michigan and I’m a fan of your acting.  One of my favorite tv shows that you were in was New Amsterdam. New Amsterdam was an interesting medical drama show about Dr. Max Goodwin who becomes the medical director of the New Amsterdam Medical Center where he works til other medical doctors to dins ways to reform the system to help patients. Ms. Villafañe, you did an excellent job portraying Dr. Valentina Castro because I liked on how you made her have different unique traits like working to help treat Dr. Max Goodwin when he struggles with cancer, helping patients who struggle to get good health care, and learning how to navigate hospital including medical politics, and many others. Also what I liked about New Amsterdam was how it addressed the need for better improvements of the health care system to help people with pre-existing conditions or who can’t afford health care get the help they need, need for improving mental health services to help people who struggle with a mental health or have an illness, and many others.

Besides your acting career, I truly appreciate on how you are a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes to reduce discrimination. Ms. Villafañe, I have autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advanced subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts in different social settings, and get teased. Your commitment to be a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes really inspires me to work hard on my disability.  Also your character Dr. Max Goodwin in New Amsterdam helps give me motivation to continue to use critical thinking, find ways to improve myself, and have compassion when the world is tough.

I strongly believe that you are a very talented actress. You do such an excellent job making your character have different unique traits. You truly inspire me to work hard on my disability, be a fan of your acting, and continue to find different methods to improve myself when there are challenges. Here is a small donation for your activism. Thanks for taking the time to read my letter, working hard to make a great difference, and inspiring me. Please continue to make a great difference for society,

Sincerely,

Matt Winick
