Dear Ms. Daly,
My name is Matt Winick from Ann Arbor, Michigan and I’m a fan of your acting. My favorite tv show that you starred in was Cagney & Lacey and Judging Amy. Cagney and Lacey was a great police show about two police detectives Christine Cagney and Mary Beth Lacey working together on solving different cases. In Cagney and Lacey, I thought you did an excellent job making NYPD Detective Mary Beth Lacey have different unique traits like showing compassion for people who struggle in life or who are victims of crime, examining different evidence including witness statements to help understand the case, and working with her partner Christine Cagney or other NYPD detectives on solving cases. Also what I liked about Cagney and Lacey was how NYPD Detective Christine Cagney and NYPD Detective Mary Beth Lacey would continue their partnership along with their friendship when they would have differences or different methods on solving a case. Judging Amy was another show I like due to the plot about Amy Gray, who is a judge in a family court for the Connecticut Superior Court where she lives with her daughter Lauren including her other family members and tries to understand life including how the legal system works. Ms. Daly, I thought you did an awesome job making Maxine Gray have different unique traits like helping her daughter Amy on navigating life including understanding the legal system, using her shills in social work to help children who are in poverty or in the need for better conditions, having compassion for people who have struggles in life, and helping members of her family when they deal with obstacles. Judging Amy did a greta job showing what the legal system was like, how social workers would work to help people or children who are in need, and many others.
Besides your acting career, I truly appreciate on how you are a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’s rights causes to reduce discrimination. Ms. Daly, I have autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advance subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts, and get teased. Another thing that I struggle with a disability is when other people including other adults get judgmental about me being different from them and have struggles to find different methods to improve myself. Also I had done teaching time to help me learn to speak while learn how to improve my behavior, spent time in special education to help me learn different subjects in education, and many others. Your commitment to be a strong supporter of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights causes really inspires me to work hard on my disability. Your characters NYPD Detective Mary Beth Lacey in Cagney and Lacey and Maxine Gray in Judging Amy helps give me motivation to find different methods to improve myself, use compassion including critical thinking as a tool for good, being interested in learning social justice causes when the world gets difficult for me.
I strongly believe that you are a very talented actress. You do such an excellent job making your characters NYPD Detective Mary Beth Lacey in Cagney and Lacey and Maxine Gray in Judging Amy great characters with different unique traits. You truly inspire me to work hard on my disability, be a fan of your acting, continue to find different methods to improve myself, and be interested in learning about social justice causes Here is a small donation to help your activism. Thanks for taking the time to read my letter, working hard to make a great difference, and inspiring me. Please continue to make a great difference.
Sincerely,
Matt Winick
