Dear Assembly Member Lowenthal,

My name is Matt Winick from Ann Arbor, Michigan and I have a strong interest in learning history including social justice. In these subjects, I like to learn the need for civil rights to be stronger to reduce discrimination, protect the environment from pollution, expand on social justice to improve communities, and many others. Assembly Member Lowenthal, the main reason I’m writing you a letter is to explain how I find your work as Member of the California State Assembly from the 69th district to be very inspiring to me.

In your current role as Member of the California State Assembly from the 69th district, I truly appreciate on how you are a strong supporter of civil rights by advocating for people with disabilities’ rights, working with members of the California House of Representatives to expand on laws to combat laws against hate crimes to help protect minorities including people who are different, and supporting funds for women including minorities businesses to help them compete in the economy.  On the economy, I like on how you support expansion of jobs training programs to help train youth including workers to develop or improve on their job skills to help them prepare for the work force and heavily advocate for the need to raise the minimum wage to help assist minimum wage workers afford to live. Also on worker’s rights, I like on how you are working to advocate for sick including medical leave for temporary workers including seasonal workers when they can’t afford benefits, expand on resources to help people with disabilities to get accommodations in work places, and many others.  Supporting funds for renewable energy resources to help reduce addiction to oil including gas, encouraging businesses including housing to use energy efficient products to help reduce high energy cost while reduce pollution, and working to provide funds to clean parks including water resources to make them safe for people to use is common sense to protect the environment. On education, I like on how you support funds to improve special education to assist students with disabilities get accommodations they need to learn and working to expand on funds to better improve tutoring services to provide students with help on their assignments from tutors. Another thing that I like about your work in California State Assembly is how how you work on expanding funds for improvements on mental health services to help people with disabilities , people with autism spectrum or people who have a mental illness get help or better access to therapy, work to expand on drug treatment programs to help drug users get the care they need to reduce drug abuse, and many others.

Assembly Member Lowenthal, I have autism with a learning disability. Having a disability is hard for me because I have trouble comprehending on learning different advanced subjects, sometimes I struggle to communicate my thoughts in different settings, and get teased. Also with my disability I have faced some forms of discrimination in public places and many others. Your support for civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights really inspires me to work hard on my disability.  Also on Youtube I enjoy listening to you talk about the importance of civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights, the need to improve worker’s rights, and make social justice stronger. Your role as Member of the California State Assembly from the 69th district helps give me motivation to continue to helps give me motivation to continue to learn history including social justice. My future goal is to someday work in these areas to help emphasize the need for civil rights to be stronger to reduce discrimination, protect the environment from pollution, expand on social justice to improve communities.

I strongly believe that you are making a great difference for society. I’m very proud on how you are working hard to support civil rights including people with disabilities’ rights, protect the environment, expand on social justice, and many others. You truly inspire me to work hard on my disability, learn about your work, and continue to learn different subjects. Thanks for taking the time to read my letter, working hard to make a great difference, and inspiring me. Please continue to advocate and push for common sense ideas.

Sincerely,

Matt Winick
